50 Shades of Tan

So I mistakenly though our debate about the Guest Bedroom color was drawn out. I was wrong...please paint gods...I have learned my lesson. It has been nothing compared to the back and forth regarding the paint color for the Living  Room/Dining Room/Foyer/Hallway. What makes this space so challenging is that it really is four different spaces that are all connected (no doorways & shared walls) and they have dark wood molding and different flooring. The flooring that will eventually be exposed in the largest of the spaces (the Living Room) is the same light oak that is now exposed in the Guest Bedrooms. So last week, I let sneak the color we were considering for this space. Here is a little reminder so you don't have to click back:
After some consideration (a week walking by it each day), we decided that something wasn't quite right about this color. I am pretty sure that it was too 'green' for our space. So it was back to the Home Depot to look at more paints. I was still sold on doing an accent wall in the same color as the bedroom, but that still left us way to many choices for the tan options:
One of these things is not like the other, one of these things doesn't belong. (Hint: It's the blue one). But seriously, it was too much choice. Of those similar, but slightly different shades of tan, we made our second choice...Beachwalk (on the right):
But alas, while the first color was too 'green,' Beachwalk was too dark. And it was back to the Home Depot for yet another similar, but slightly different shade of tan (but with my favorite name of the three), Toasted Muffin (the one on the right):
And we have a winner! To take advantage of Home Depot's paint sale and to end the paint-picking torment, we have bought the paint...now it is just a matter of putting it on the walls...all four rooms worth. Dun Dun Dun.
